Dr. Holden is the Chief of Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital Medical Staff. Her past positions include Secretary of the Medical Staff Northwestern Medicine at Lake Forest Hospital and the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She maintains an active role in hospital leadership. She has appeared in Chicago Magazine as one of the Top 100 Doctors in Chicago of 2011. In addition, she is listed in Castle Connolly Medical’s Top Doctors of the Chicago Metro Area’s 2nd and 3rd editions. She is board certified and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Holden is especially interested in helping women navigate their health journey through life, encompassing adolescent gynecology, well woman care, obstetrics, infertility, minimally invasive procedures, and surgery as well as more complex abdominal surgery. Caring for women is unique in childbearing but also in the malignant and pre-malignant diseases that affect only women. Dr. Holden embraces the privilege of educating women with empathy and compassion through these life events.
Dr. Holden resides in Lake Forest, Illinois, with her husband, Dan, and has two grown children. She enjoys gardening, piano, fitness, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
